Tips for passing an interview with an employer

Interview with a job applicant
“I was very nervous during my first interview,” recalls Andriy. “I was afraid that everything would end in complete failure.”
An interview is one of the most important stages of a job search. You can reduce your anxiety and make a positive impression on the employer if you prepare properly. And for this, you should know the main types of interviews and their features.
Usually, the first stage of getting to know a candidate is a telephone interview. Its purpose is to check whether the candidate meets the basic requirements, and then invite him to a face-to-face interview. Since gestures and facial expressions are not visible during a telephone interview, it is important that your answers sound clear, positive, and confident.
The next stage is an individual interview. This is the most common type of interview, during which the recruiter (or responsible manager) communicates with the candidate face to face. Before the interview, learn more about what the company is up to by checking out the news on the website or social media. Remember that the interviewer is not your enemy, he understands how you feel. Therefore, behave in a friendly and welcoming manner, but not in a familiar way. Watch your posture, facial expressions, and gestures.
A panel interview is conducted in the same way as an individual interview, but there are several interviewers present (usually a recruiter and the employee's future manager). This format allows for greater objectivity.
Did you pass the first interview? Were you invited to the second round? Congratulations! Remember the questions you were asked in the first round of the interview, as well as your answers to them. This will help you feel more confident.
“Don't consider the obstacles you encounter on the way to a successful interview to be insurmountable,” advises Andriy. – Rather, look at them as obstacles that can be successfully overcome. Good preparation and a positive attitude will help you succeed in your job search.”
